Pulled out of garage, where they were sitting for 15 years. They sound unexpectedly great.
I bought it off Craig’s list. Needed some repair and restoration. Now it is fully functional and works great.
Saw it at auction on audiogone.com. Was listed as non working, I took a plunge and got it. Actually I was the only one who wanted it. Picked it up and it took me 15 minutes to figure out and correct problem.
Picked up a pair at Infinity Records in Long Island. At first I just felt intrigued by the look and feel of these vintage pair of speakers. Then , after reading up on them, I learned that mister Janszen was the one who invented electrostatic drivers, and built the first commercial electrostatic based speakers. After about 50 hours of warming up these ones just started to reveal magic. I do not know how to describe it, but it is kind of very hard to turn them off. I drove them with a pair of Rogue Audio Magnum M-120 tubed mono blocks.
Of cause all hardware holding driver was tighten up because of usually they get loose and it affects sound.
